Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

KAP

Ketamine has been proven safe through it’s clinical use for over 50 years as a primary anesthetic, particularly for procedures outside the operating room. At lower doses, ketamine has shown rapid effectiveness in reducing depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety, bypassing our defenses to access deep emotions.

About KAP

Through the psychedelic properties of ketamine, patients can connect with their inner healing intelligence, which encompasses the innate knowledge and power within oneself to journey towards wholeness and well-being.

Embracing Healing:

The Art of Kintsugi in Healing

Kintsugi — which means “join with gold” — is the Japanese art of repairing broken objects, often ceramic pottery or glass. We draw inspiration from this practice in finding unity in healing and seeing the beauty of restructuring trauma and struggle. Accompanying you on the wellness and recovery journey is an honor.

FAQs

What is the treatment like?

We begin with a consultation with one of our clinicians followed by an in-person medical examination to ensure that the treatment is safe for you.  Following the consultation, we schedule your treatment sessions and discuss logistics including transportation.  Each treatment session lasts for approximately 3 hours. On the day of treatment, you will be greeted by a member of your team who will bring you to a comfortable space. You will be provided with an eye mask and set up with music. When you are ready, ketamine will be administered by a clinician. A staff member will be present throughout your treatment. After about 45 minutes to an hour, you'll gradually return to reality. Following the session, we can discuss your experience in preparation for integration later in the week.

What can patients expect to experience?

Depending on the dose and individual state, experiences can range from gentle relaxation to profound mystical encounters. While some may find it challenging, we believe these experiences are valuable. Our team is adept at guiding you through exploration and integration, helping you understand their significance and apply them to your daily life.

How many treatments should a patient expect to have?

We recommend 6, but the exact number may be more or less depending on the individual.

Is Ketamine right for me?

Ketamine causes transient rises in blood pressure and heart rate. Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease may not be able to participate in ketamine treatment. Patients with a history of mania or psychosis are at risk of ketamine-induced mania and/or psychosis. Your clinician will discuss these concerns with you during your consultation.

Getting Started is Easy

  • Step One

Request a consultation. Our staff will reach out to schedule a consultation with one of our directors.

  • Step Two

During your consultation, we will discuss treatment options and provide recommendations for you. These meetings can be done virtually or in person.

  • Step Three

Come in for a physical evaluation and assessment. At this appointment you will get to see our space and plan out your treatment schedule. We will also review what to do before and after a ketamine treatment.

  • Step Four

Present for your ketamine treatment. Patients are not able to drive themselves home after treatments. We recommend that a family member or close friend pick you up and understand that at times a rideshare or taxi service may be all that is available.

  • Step Five

Later in that week you will meet with your clinician for a session to integrate what you have learned into your day to day life.

Our team is dedicated to exploring future FDA-cleared psychedelic treatments, positioning ketamine as a gateway to deeper therapeutic engagement.
